Hello, I’m Tara!
I am a speech-language pathologist with a passion for working with young children and their caregivers to promote language development. My academic background includes a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Vanderbilt University, where I specialized in pediatric hearing loss. Prior to this, I earned my undergraduate degree in Child Development and Psychology from Tufts University.
My professional journey began in the field of early intervention, where I served as a developmental specialist in the greater Boston area. It was during this time, while working closely with autistic children and their caregivers, that I developed a deep interest in speech-language pathology. I became a certified educator of infant massage and enjoy teaching caregivers massage techniques they can use with their babies to support their relationship.
After completing my graduate studies, I pursued a role as a speech-language pathologist at a research lab at Northwestern University. During that time, I coached caregivers on caregiver-implemented language interventions. I was also part of an autism diagnostic team, completing both virtual and in-person diagnostic evaluations. I currently work as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in early intervention, serving children in the Chicago area.
Check out the services I can provide for you and your child. I look forward to hearing from you!
